Santuario de las Mariposas Monarca/Monarch butterflies Sanctuary

                    ANGANGUEO (Michoacán)

Angangueo es el pueblo más cercano al Santuario. Hay autobuses directos desde el DF (estación del Observatorio, 3 ó 4 horas). Y de allí se sube en un autobús local (20 minutos). Además también se puede acceder desde Ocampo.

Angangueo is the closet village to the Sanctuary. There are direct buses from Mexico city (Observatorio station, 3 or 4 hours). And from there, take a local bus (20 minutos). As well there are regular local buses from Ocampo.

Incluso me encontré con una comitiva funeraria, con una banda tocando.

"Take care of the butterflies".

Al comprar el ticket te asignan un guía. Es obligatorio subir con él, para llegar a donde están las mariposas (van moviendose según el clima que haga) y también para evitar que la gente cause daños al entorno. 

After buying the ticket, you are assigned a guide. It's mandatory, in order to get to the place where the butterflies are (they are moving according with the weather) and to avoid people damage the park.

 Anduvimos unos 2 kms desde la entrada.

El mejor mes para venir es febrero. Pero desde noviembre ya se puede visitar.

The best month to come is February, but it's possible to visit from November.

Las mariposas suelen volar cuando hay sol. Aunque estaba nublado, había muchas mariposas volando.

Butterflies usually fly with the sun light. Although it was a cloudy day, there were a lot of butterflies flying.

Si hay silencio se puede escuchar su aleteo. 

If there is silence, it's possible to heard their flutter.
